FAQ - beverage Packages
How far do you travel?
Our beverage service area extends up to 1 hour from Southport. This helps us ensure our team can deliver a high standard of service while keeping travel times manageable. If your event is located further away, please reach out—depending on availability, we may be able to accommodate travel outside our standard radius with an additional fee.
Do you have a liquor licence & RSA certification?
We hold a QLD Liquor Licence, Number: 250385.
In Season Catering & Events staff hold QLD RSA certification & Practice Responsible Service of Alcohol. Due to liquor licencing regulations, beverage packages must be booked with a food package.
How Much Alcohol should I buy for a BYO package?
We recommend you contact Dan Murphy’s Wedding & Pary Planning to guide you based on your numbers, event length, and preferred drinks to work out quantities.
Do you require a cool room?
We highly recommend hiring a coolroom. If you choose not to have a coolroom, please ensure drinks are well chilled in your own eskies with plenty of ice before we arrive.
Do you require the drinks to be prechilled?
Drinks must be pre-chilled prior to our arrival. We recommend hiring a coolroom as it ensures drinks stay cold for the duration of your event and provides easy access for staff to bring drinks to the bar for service. If you choose not to have a coolroom, please ensure drinks are well chilled in your own eskies with plenty of ice before we arrive.
Do you need access to power & water?
We don’t require power. Access to water is preferred, but if it’s not available, that’s no problem—we can work around it. Just let us know ahead of time so we can be prepared.
Do you take rubbish with you?
We don’t have the capacity to remove any bar or drinks-related waste. If bins are provided, we’re happy to organise and manage the waste during service, but we can’t take it with us when we leave. Please ensure your venue is aware of this and that a waste solution is in place for after the event.
When do you arrive?
Our team generally arrives around 1 hour prior to service to allow enough time for setup and preparation.
Will the Bartenders only serve from the Bar?
During cocktail hour, our bartenders can provide tray service so guests can easily enjoy drinks without needing to visit the bar. Once the reception begins, service transitions to the bar, where our team ensures everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Do you offer Mixologists?
A mixologist is not included in our standard packages. However, if you’d like cocktails served at your event, please let us know in advance—we can add a mixologist to your booking, pending availability.
Will you collect my drinks & bring them to the Event?
Not with our BYO drinks packages. If you would like us to look after everything Bar related we recommend either the Premium or Basic Drinks Package (only available in QLD).
What’s included in the BYO Package?
The packages include professional bar staff, glassware for the bar: wine, water, short spirit and champagne glasses, all the essential tools of the trade, a bar counter for service, ice, eskies & drinks tubs for service. Our team will set up, serve, and manage the bar throughout your event, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for you and your guests.
